Rada Doytcheva, PhD, FAIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C, Principal/Head of Design led a successful seminar at this year’s Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo in Boston last week – on “INSPIRING CHANGE – Social and Design Determinants in Health Care Delivery” — featuring RADA Architects’ recently completed Heart Rhythm Center at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.
This session focused on the following:
- The importance of applying the fundamental planning principles;
- “Mix and Match” use of design elements from other building types for more stimulating patient and staff environment;
- Social determinants of health data and measurable benchmarks;
- Program and strategies applied by a major health care system to improve health outcomes in its community.
