AIA Conference on Architecture 2018 in NYC is right around the corner!

Our principal, Rada is the moderator and the initiator of one of the panel discussions presented at the conference: “The Missing 32 Percent (Women) & Missing Small Architects” (Session #TH509. 6/21/2018, 10:30 am – 11:30 am)

Women architects and firm owners still have meager access to steady and meaningful project opportunities. Licensing statistics are low for women, and women also face roadblocks to prosperity and equal access similar to small firms. This session takes a critical look at the reasons why.

Rada asks the Panelists and the Audience (and the Profession at large) the following questions:

• How do we help empower Women-owned architecture firm for better and bigger projects?
• How do we grow the number of these firms and participation in the built environment?
• How can the Public Agencies step in? What are the tangible measures? (set-asides?, committees? individual missions?)
• How can we create a level playing field for small architects and bigger firms? How can we work toward equality?
